Uchu Peruvian Steakhouse is the best place we had lunch in Cusco. There is very nice interior and incredibly beautiful food.
I ordered a mango juice and Red Quinoa Causaki – mashed potato with avocado, red quinoa and zucchini slices fried in flaxseeds which looked very impressive.
My mood wasn’t the greatest that day but the food improved it straight away. Potato however was a bit too salty and olives which we were served as a compliment – too sweet. Nevertheless, it was so beautiful and nice that these small defects didn’t change our impression of the restaurant.
My friend ordered the Stone Cooked Chicken Steak – grilled chicken with green salad, two kinds of potatoes and 4 different sauces. The meat was served on a hot stone which didn’t let the dish to cool down very quick. It was very fresh and quite a big dish which we could actually share for two of us.
Red Quinoa Causaki – 21 Peruvian salt (US$7,5)
Stone Cooked Chicken Steak – 38 Peruvian salt (US$13,6)
Mango Blend – 10 Peruvian salt (US$3,6)
Coffee drink – 10 Peruvian salt (US$3,6)
TOTAL: 79 salt (US$28) for 2 people
If you’re in Cusco I highly recommend to have a meal at Uchu Peruvian Steakhouse. This restaurant is located right in the centre of the town.
